The song blends jazz, funk and hip-hop into a groovy, danceable track with a positive message celebrating diversity and individuality. Songwriter Oren Levine’s music recalls the funk-jazz of the 1970’s and 80’s, with lyrics that call us to rise above false expectations and prejudices, and “be free” to rejoice in our own identity and expression. DC rap great Ardamus amplifies the call to action with powerful verses that build on the lyrics sung by Paula Bailey. Guest artist Matvei Sigalov adds more energy to the track with soulful guitar backgrounds and searing solo.
